Swelling that won’t go down as fast as you expected

Hard, fibrous spots you keep checking on

Hard to tell who’s actually trained for post-op work

Tight and heavy in your chest, arm, or tummy

Told it’s normal, but never told what to do about it

One source says start now, another says wait

How soon after surgery can I start?
It depends on your procedure and your surgeon’s clearance, which is why you’ll hear different answers online. Some people start within days; others wait until drains are out or incisions have healed. Check with your surgeon, then text me your surgery type and date so we can plan the right start.
How many sessions will I need?
There’s no single number, which is why advice online ranges so widely. It depends on your surgery, how your swelling responds, and your goals. Many people come more often at first, then taper off. Sessions are $90 or $135 each, so you’re never locked into a package.
How is this different from a regular massage?
Manual lymph drainage uses very light pressure and slow, rhythmic movements, so it’s gentle by design. I’m a licensed massage therapist with 25+ years of experience, certified in the Vodder Method. With post-surgical clients, I combine it with massage therapy.
Can I have lymphatic massage after a mastectomy or cancer treatment?
Gentle massage and lymphatic drainage are often used to support recovery after breast cancer surgery, but technique matters, especially if lymph nodes were removed. Check with your surgical or oncology team first, and tell me about any restrictions. I’ll work within them.
How much does it cost?
A 60-minute session is $90 and a 90-minute session is $135. I accept cash, check, or credit card. I don’t accept tips, so the price you see is the price you pay. A 24-hour cancellation policy applies.
